Weird Sticks were back at Exeter Quay as part of Summer at the Quayside, a programme of free family activities organised by the Exeter Canal and Quay Trust.
We worked with children and families to create ‘Woven in Time’, a large scale, hand woven picture celebrating Exeter’s Quay moments!
The artwork included woven representation of the canal itself, flora and fauna, the birds and wildlife found around the canal as well as celebrating the history of the Quay from a depiction of Queen Elizabeth I who was on the throne when construction of the waterway began, the canal diggers through to a modern day paddle-boarder.
